Choose this product if you need a carton planned around a candle’s dimensions and presentation. Tell us the candle size, whether it is jarred or boxed, and if you need an insert to help position it.
Choose this product if your item needs an internal support or divider designed to its shape. Share the product dimensions and how it should sit inside the carton so the insert can be considered with the box.
An auto lock bottom box uses a folded base panel construction. As the carton is opened, the connected base panels fold into position to form the bottom. This can make the box quicker to assemble than a carton where the base panels are folded and tucked individually.
The exact base design, board grade and dimensions should be selected for the product and intended use. A box for a candle jar, for example, may need different internal support and clearances from a box for a small packaged item. The carton should be assessed with the actual product dimensions before artwork is finalised.
You may also hear this style described as a crash-lock bottom carton. Names can vary between suppliers, so confirm the base construction on the proposed specification before ordering.
An insert can be developed alongside the carton when a product needs to sit in a particular position. Its shape and fit depend on the product, board and packaging requirements, so share how the item should sit when you request a quote.

Measure the product at its widest, longest and deepest points. Include any lid, cap or part that will be packed with it.
Tell us whether your dimensions are internal or external. The space inside the carton must account for the product and any insert.
For candle packaging, include the container shape and material, plus any presentation or handling requirements. Do not assume the carton alone will protect a glass container.
If you need an insert, provide product measurements and a photo or drawing showing how it should sit. The box and insert should be reviewed together.
Send print-ready artwork if available, or a reference image and a description of the look you want. Artwork requirements are confirmed before production.
